Being Productive.

This past few days I buckled down and did a lot of the tasks that I've been putting off forever.

I prepared my taxes, which took a really long time because it's my first year filing as self-employed and all year long I was using a shoebox 'filing cabinet.'

I cleaned out the closets.

Put all winter gear in storage.

Donated a bunch of stuff to Goodwill.

I worked out a lot more than usually.

And finally, which I really don't know why I procrastinated so much on this - I opened an Etsy shop to sell my prints, and started to list some items.
There are only 8 photos in there so far, it's a slow process!
I'll be adding more in the next few days as I have time.
If you check it out I'd love feedback - this is my first Etsy adventure.

I think the key to my surge in productivity was making little rules, like waking up on my day off and not checking email until noon.  That means Pinterest and Facebook too.

Once I got the things done on my list I could go outside for a walk and enjoy the gorgeous weather we had this week.   I think it's a system that I'll stick to.

What helps you be more productive with your time?

And do you own an Etsy shop?  Leave a link so I can see it too :)

  1. I love the not checking email, facebook and pinterest until noon rule. I'll admit, it's gotten me into trouble a few times with procrastination.

Productivity sucks while you're getting yourself to it, but you feel so good after!

  3. That is so awesome!

I think I should take a leaf from your... blog? and make a rule not to check email/facebook/etc until noon on my days off!

One other thing I do that helps is make lists of everything i want to get done. That way if I do get distracted, I will at least be able to remember what else it is that I still need to do..!

Also congrats on the start on Etsy! I have a little itty bitty etsy shop as well.. http://www.etsy.com/shop/whimsicaluna
