Here's a bit of an update post for you, 24 things.
Currently
Listening to Vince Guaraldi's Charlie Brown Christmas. Holiday music without overdosing on fa la la.
Sipping on David's Tea - Cocomint Cream. I have never really been a warm beverage person, but combine coconut, apple, mint and vanilla and they are starting to get me hooked. As in - replace my entire Christmas wish list - hooked.
Planning the photo for our Christmas card.
Wanting to make this recipe for Cheese Crisps that I saw on The Chew yesterday.
Don't have the right cheese at home. Don't feel like leaving my cozy spot on my day off. Another time.
I should be researching for my essay that's due soon, but I'm a total procrastinator.
We till need to watch a movie and decorate our Christmas tree.
Steve is feeling cold-like symptoms, so I'm taking every cold fighting precaution that I can.
This month is too busy to be sick.
This week
I scored 103% on my midterm last Wednesday. I even got the bonus question :)
Still feeling pretty good about it.
Wishing my hair was ever so slightly longer, so I could pull off a sock bun like this without the back of my head being full of bobby pins.
This week we Torontonians found out that Mayor Rob Ford is being ousted from office. I am supremely excited to be able to vote for a new mayor. I can only hope that he doesn't succeed in repealing the judge's decision.
I was taught how to crochet by my new friend Emily, and I'm trying to get my infinity scarf to look less wonky as I go. She says crochet is faster than knitting. So far I don't believe it.
I finished my Christmas shopping. With the exception of a few little stocking stuffers. Black Friday sales helped. How do you feel about those? This is the first year I've really seen them in Canada. Did you shop?
Bummed out that PC Cranberry Ginger Ale isn't around this year. Boo.
This Month
I started using an app called C25K to start
I finally saw the movie Looper. Steve and I both really liked it. Quite good, even if JGL didn't look up to his usual level of handsome. ;)
Earlier this month I got to visit my friend Derek on set as he directed a music video for Peter Katz. I love Peter's music and can't wait to see the finished video.
I haven't read any blogs in ages. I think my BlogLovin' account has 1200 unread posts. hmmm.
Soup has been particularly tasty lately. Tomato is my favourite.
We've somehow managed to keep a basil plant alive for almost 2 months now. Small victory.
Coming Up
I fly to my hometown in 3 weeks & 4 days.
I've been invited to multiple Ugly Christmas Sweater parties. I'm not happy about this and really wish they were Pretty Holiday Dress parties instead. I don't want to spend money on/own/take up space with an ugly sweater. Ew.
Looking forward to watching The Grinch (60's version only), Home Alone, Love Actually, The Holiday and Charlie Brown's Christmas.
I'm excited to hit up a few Christmas craft shows soon. I plan to find some of those previously mentioned stocking stuffers.
I'm excited for all kinds of things when for visiting my hometown at Christmas. I get to see my sister's new house, my friend's new mens clothing store, and am especially happy to get to spend time with all my family that I haven't seen since July.
That's 24! So close to 30 yet so far away...
Have a great day!!
I did the couch to 5k programme! It worked a treat for me. I started at the beginning of this year, and by the time my wedding swung around, I lost 2 stone (28lbs). Towards the end I did go on a slightly crazed no-carb-no-sugar diet though ...
ReplyDeleteI was able to run up to 50 minutes straight. For me, that's ridiculous.
Wow that's awesome! It's a feat to me right now to do the 5 mins, but I'm hoping to finish and be at 30 by 2013!
DeleteI totally agree that the ugly sweater parties should be beautiful vintage dress parties! Thats SUCH a good idea.
ReplyDeleteThank you! All of our weekends are already taken this year, but next year I'll host one and send out the invite in August or something, haha.
DeleteLove Actually! Yes! Perfect tradition!
ReplyDeleteHmm. Maybe Sheri and I could/should host a fancy Christmas party?
ReplyDeleteOooh that would be fun. The holidays are busy but even if it's just the 4 of us and a record player I'd be pumped.
