while my family came to visit we took a few little day trips in the region, to check out the sights.
the first - san remo, italy. best on a saturday morning to hit up the huge market :)
here are some of the sights. enjoy the mini tour!
i don't think i would take these if someone paid me
but sundried tomatoes, we did buy
this was lunch
leather is available all over
i wish people still wore hats. never really have, but i'm beginning to seriously love them.
this plant is new to me. they're in season in the region now, and have a lovely light fragrance.
they're called mimosas. and i believe they use them to make perfume.
a beautiful day along the ocean.
here we are, enjoying gelato after being shopped out. thank you for the pic steve!
and the Festival???

Love the pics! The pink flower is just gorgeous and the spiral staircase is so neat! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteYou know Mel, mimosa is the flower we give on woman's day, the 8 of March, however I never liked the smell.
ReplyDeleteBut it's beautiful, it seems you had a nice trip.
Love the pictures but the one of the pink flower is my favorite.

hi, just a post to answer on your question, actually, I often use "recycled" items for my art journal like pictures of magazines, vintage stuffs or many other things i like.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like you guys had a great time! What a fun mini tour! Fresh produce, flowers and gelato? It sounds perfect!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the fashion advice, too, by the way. I really appreciate the help!

ReplyDeleteEffin' gorgeous pics. They make me miss Italy. Can't wait to go back. And the food doesn't make me feel any better about my wimpy lunch. And I don't know what you mean about the hats... I'd wear just about everything on the left side of that photo.
ReplyDeleteOh, so fun. I love that your family could come to visit. Beautiful. The market looks amazing!
